~ Birthday Party ~ Sarina's SWEET Second Birthday Party

I am so excited to share with you the pictures of my daughter's second birthday party!
I am currently in recovery mode from all the planning; I worked non-stop for the past month doing all the little projects, but it was all worth it because I just love how everything turned out.

THE DECOR...

While browsing Birthday Express for party supplies, I found the most adorable paper plates and cups from Yummi-land.  My daughter loves candies, so I thought the candy theme was perfect for her party.

It was so much fun to plan all the decor:  Lollipops, cupcakes, candies and gumballs.  I made columns of balloons in pink, red, blue and red.  The scenary for the Sweet Table consisted of two giant lollipops and a big cupcake.

THE DESSERT TABLE...
It looked so sweet!  I picked all the candies to coordinate with the party colors. There were swirl lollipops, jelly beans, Smarties, gummies, marshmallows, gumdrops, pink wafer cookies, cupcakes decorated with pink and blue frosting, coordinated the party circles I designed, Dubble Bubble pops wrapped in pink, raspberry and aqua blue tissue and cello paper, chocolate cups with strawberries and whipped cream...

The Cake {I am so proud of my cake; I took a Michaels fondant and gum paste decorating class a couple of weeks ago and this was my first cake and I loved it!} I did all the fondant bows, lollipops and candy decorations for thecake and cupcakes.

And I can't forget about the little waffle-ice cream house with my baby's name and the number 2 on top, inspired by the Sweetopia logo. Adorable, isn't it?

THE PARTY FAVORS...

They were the most adorable mini-gumball machines. I purchased them at Beau-coup  and decorated them with an organza bow and a guest name tag.

THE FOOD TABLE...

At the Food table  there was veal sandwiches, chicken and beef lasagna, caesar salad, mini hot dogs, chicken nuggets, cheese and fruit trays.  I made Jello cups in 3 layers of strawberry, blueberry and raspberry  flavours to match the party colors.

The clear plastic cutlery was wrapped in aqua blue paper napkins and decorated with napkin rings made with ribbons and the same party circles as the cupcakes. The spoons were also decorated with party circles.{I got a lot of compliments on my lasagna, several friends asked me for the recipe -  I will be posting it soon}

Have you tried this new brand of Water bottles?

 ENTERTAINMENT...

I always have to have a PiƱata included in all my kids' parties. The kids love them! This time I made a lollipop one and it turned out really cute!  Again I asked Steve to entertain the kids. They love him and always have a lot of fun! I also got a CD especially for the occasion to play the Lollipop Song - It's my party! by the Supertarz Kids.

THE DRESS...

My daughter looked adorable in her pink hand-smocked dress. I had picked this dress last year thinking of her second birthday and everything just came together perfectly because without planning it the dress had the same party colors: pink with aqua blue and raspberry accents.  Most importantly she enjoyed her party, especially when we sang happy birthday to her! She blew the candles and she had lots of fun serving the cake! :)

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for reading!

~ Birthday Party ~ Big Top Circus Ashton's 1st Birthday Party

All the credits for this party are for Timmy, the birthday boy's mom, who organized a Circus themed party to celebrate her son Asthon's first birthday.  This time I just helped a little bit by giving some ideas, but Timmy executed all herself and she did a great job.

Photobucket

The BIG TOP Circus party supplies and balloons were purchased at Party Packagers.  I love the Circus theme.  There are so many ideas to do and it can really be accommodated for any occasion, for both girls and boys birthday parties, Sweet 16, Baby showers etc...

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Did you notice how cute the popcorn bags look on the Elephant display? This was actually a game for the kids to play, but Timmy used it as a Prop for the table.

The Birthday boy's aunt Dayana, baked all the cupcakes. Cupcake wrappers and the Wilton 4-Tier Dessert Stand were purchased at Homesense.  They have a lot of the Wilton  products at a discounted price. Worth to check out if you are looking for baking and cake decorating supplies.

Timmy did the yummi-gummi sticks and used a vase filled with jelly beans to put them in.

Thanks Timmy for sharing with us.  Share with us your party-tales please email us at party-tales{at}rogers.com.  We'd love to feature your party!

~ Birthday Party ~ This Party sure ROCKED! Jackson's Rock Star Party

When I saw the pictures of the party that Jessica from Modern Moments designed for her son Jackson,  I was amazed!! and I mean really amazed.  She really thought of everything. The attention to detail was impeccable.

I just love everything about this party, the Cd's invitations and all the party printables that Jessica designed herself were stunning, the favors, the cupcake toppers, the guitar cake, the drum set decorations, the cake pops, and of course the birthday boy himself. {Jackson is such a CUTIE!!}.

For those of you who don't know, my my brother is a drummer and a Musician in Miami and soon I am going to be an auntie YAY!! So when I saw the pictures of Jackson's birthday, I immediately thought that this would be the perfect theme for my nephew or niece birthday {OK fine I am crazy, the baby hasn't even born yet, and I am already organizing birthday parties...but you need time to plan an amazing party} One thing I am sure, is that  when the time comes I will ask Jessica to design some Rock Star invitations too.. She is a very talented graphic designer.

THIS PARTY ROCKED!! You can admire all of Jessica's work at her Etsy shop

Angelina's 5th ~ Birthday Party ~ and ~ DIY~Yummy-Gummy Pots

Last weekend  it was Angelina's 5th birthday Party. I am finally able to share the party pics with you.  Things have been really hectic around here with lots of party planning: Angelina's 5th birthday Party,  Ashton 1st birthday Party next week and my baby Sarina's 2nd Birthday Party in 2 weeks. I really haven't had time to seat in front of the computer, but the good news is that  I will be able to share lots of pictures and DIY party projects with you in the following weeks so please stay tunned.

Angelina's party was hosted at the MiniMania indoor playground centre.  There was really not to much time to decorate as we had only 15 minutes before the party to do all the set up. But even with not much time, the table looked adorable. The cake was delicious and it was made by Daisycakes.

As always I decorated the table with balloons and my so popular yummy-gummy pots.  The Party supplies were purchased at party Packagers {Hurry up... Her Highness party supplies 50% off,  aren't they cute? they will really match with any pink and purple barbie or princess theme}

I think these deliciously sweet yummy-gummy pots have become my signature party decor, my clients always request to have them for all of their parties. Since I always get a lot of compliments on them, I tought it would be fun to share how I made them.
They are so easy to make, you can get your kids involved too {They are also very easy to snack so make sure you have lots of extras...}  They can be made in any color or candy combination to match your party decor. I don't think you will need any instructions to make them but if you 'd like, you can follow the photo sequence I took while making them for Angelina's birthday party.

{To make 1 yummy-gummy pot : Around 20 gummy skewers you need}
1 big bag of  Marshmallows
1 big container of Gummies
   20 Skewers or Wooden sticks
1 roll of Clear Cellophane Paper or 20 clear candy bags
Curling ribbon
1 Pot or Vase
1 Floral Foam or Styrofoam
Tissue Paper or Napkins
Optional: 1 1/2" Circle or Scalloped Punch

Look how cute they look with matching Pink and Purple Thank you tags. Did you notice I wrapped the floral foam with a party napkin for a perfect match.  If you need them, you can download my Pink and Purple Thank you for being so SWEET! Printable tags here. You can use these tags as cupcake toppers too.

 Have fun making these for your next party!
